What can you do for dry, thin brittle nails?

I can not grow my nails out.cause they break and tear every easly I drink milk and I have used everything in the stores for nails and can not stop them from being brittle ,thin and dryWhat can you do for dry, thin brittle nails?
My nails used to be thin and brittle, and my sister got pregnant and I saw her nails were growing from the prenatal vitamins the Doctor gave her, so if you can get your hands on some of them you will see a difference within 2 weeks, also get a vitamin E supplement from any drug store to go with them. The prenatal vitamins make your hair grow dramatically faster also. What can you do for dry, thin brittle nails?
i suggest take your vitamins and always always always keep a clear coat on them, dont bite or tear at them, and use cutical oil to reduce the dryness
i dont know if this will work but it should try to soak your fingers in warm viniger for about 20-30 minutes.
for thin brittle nails get nutranail......no but for real thats a commercial i always hear it.....maybe you should try it.........
I have had the same problem. But as a Hair Dresser my hands have been in water and chemicals(bleach, tint, etc.) over half my life. Even on vacation...same thing. So, I learnt from fellow cosmetologists some great pointers. Manicure your nails, really, or pamper yourself by getting one. At home, use a nice cuticle cream, pushing back the cuticles don't have to be trimmed, but soft and supple. It's like magic!. The nails seem to grow faster. Don't use nail files made for acrylic nails. They split natural nails. The sandy grains of the file work there way into the fine layers of the nail. If you go to the local beauty supply house, or drug store. Try to find a nail file called a ';DIAMOND';, NAIL FILE. they are the best for thin breaking nails. Any brand will do but look at it as an investment for you. Keep a nice hand cream close by, and massage your hands and nails, this helps with circulation. Then as far as nail polish, well sally Hanson, has a polish that helps strengthens, unless you want to pay out more money for something more expensive. That's okay too. Hope you see great improvement!!
u have calcium deficiency. take calcium talets
Do you drink enough water as well? That has a tendency to make nails grow out dry and thus brittle as well.
HOW ABOUT TRYIN OUT COD OIL...IT'S HIGH IN VITA'S...
im not sure if its stil available but avon has a liquid nail stregthener that works very well it comes in a black nailpolish bottle. if you know neone who sells avon ask them if it is still on the market.
You should try taking vitamins, and make sure you're getting enough water and nutrients every day...that could be a reason why you have brittle nails. Also, just try keeping them painted with nail polish, and try a nail hardener...put a coat on of each every day. And dont bite your nails! Even a little bit!
