Is there a cure for toe fungus? Where the nail gets thick and brittle.?

The nail can be trimmed and filed down carefully, either at home or by a foot specialist (podiatrist). If the infection is mild and very localized, your doctor may prescribe a medicated nail polish containing either amorolfine (Loceryl) or ciclopirox (Loprox). If the infection persists or continues to spread the doctor may prescribe an oral, systemic antifungal medication such as itraconazole (Sporanox) or terbinafine (Lamisil). Is there a cure for toe fungus? If you are looking for an over the counter remedy, several people I know swear this works. Soak your feet in Listerine then apply Vick's Vapor Rub. Do it twice a day. I haven't tried it personally but it's worth a shot if you just absolutely don't want to go to the doctor. Is there a cure for toe fungus? Where the nail gets thick and brittle.?
There is an oral medication that your Dr. can prescribe, but he has to do a blood test to check for liver function first.
Try Lamisil. I think it's over the counter now which means you can buy it. Follow the instructions, if it does't work, see a podiatrist.
I've heard lots of people raving about using Vick's Vapor Rub on their toe nails. My mom did it, and it got rid of hers. Do it twice a day, Covering the nail after you apply it. It's worth a shot don't ya think? Google ';Vick's vapor rub for toenail fungus';, lots of stuff comes up! Good luck!
