I have raynauds syndrome, so my nails are very thin, dry and brittle. Can I wear gel or acrylic nails safely?

With thin nails it might be pretty bad for you to get ';fake'; nails. When having to prepare your nail for the application, they have to ';sand'; off the top layer of your nail. This might cause more damage to you. Proclien nails might be better for your nails. I am not sure how they apply those, but I do know they are quite a bit more. But they look so much better!I have raynauds syndrome, so my nails are very thin, dry and brittle. Can I wear gel or acrylic nails safely?
Not sure about actually having a nail put on, but you can have liquid acrylic painted onto your nails. This is easily taken off, and should not damage your nails. Have you tried painting your nails with clear nail polish? There are some that actually strengthen your nails, not sure about how your desease works, but hey it's worth a try.I have raynauds syndrome, so my nails are very thin, dry and brittle.
