What causes his nails to be so brittle and what does he need to make them stronger?My sister's Pug has super brittle nails.?
is this a fixed dog?


and have they always been brittle?


i ask because our one dog had great nails and after he was altered and got his next round of shots, he began having trouble with them...


they became very brittle and would crack along the bottom and eventually fall off..


it was caused my a reaction to the vaccinations he got... he was fine with the shots before being altered but after his body was effected differently by the shots


So no we are not able to vaccinate him do to all the pain it puts him though....

Addition:


Take him to the vet, ours ended up haveing vasculitis in his nails because for this shots, they ended up removing all the nails that didnt fall off... they are growing back fine now but we had to get documentation that he can no longer get his shots... so if we HAVE to kennel him he is still ok...





we still soap them every once in a while in a medicated soak....
