How to repair thin brittle nails?

I recently took off my acrylic nails and realized that the person who did my nails had filed the nails REALLY THIN on one of my finger. It is so thin that it hurts when i add a little pressure on it. Other nails are thin too but not as bad. How do i repair my thin, brittle nails? The top layer of my nail (the coating?) came off with the acrylic as well (i took em off myself - didnt want to waste more money + had no time to goto a nail shop) so now the nail is kinda rough ... What are some products that I can use to boost/help repair the damage? (please do not suggest any SallyHansen products as they do not sell it where I live... :( )How to repair thin brittle nails?
U need to let them grow out - but also use a treatment like Sally Hansen hard as nails. It works very well. The process will take a few months, but your nails will look as good as new.

In the future, don't get acrilics. They ruin your natural nails. Natural nails look so much better anyway! How to repair thin brittle nails?
There is a vitamin that's available that can really help strengthen your nails. It's sold under the brand name Appearex and it's available over the counter. You should see results with longer nails that are healthier and don't break as often.
I think u shld apply a bit of cream on ur nails, and slightly try to shape them, wish ur problem gets the solution..
If the nail is as badly damaged as you say, it won't ';repair';. You will have to wait for them to grow out. To help them grow out strong and healthy, keep your hands out of water, except when you're washing them or yourself. (Use gloves to wash dishes, scrub the bathtub, etc.) Take gelatin capsules. And don't waste any more money on acrylic nails. They are very bad for your own nails--they may even promote the growth of fungus which can destroy your own nails completely.
It sounds like your problem is nutritional. You probably need to take some specialized vitamins, especially selenium.
TRY NAILTIQUE IT WORKS WONDERS, SMALL BOTTLE COST ABOUT $.15.00 OH YOU CAN GET AT A TOP NOTCH BEAUTY SUPPLY STORE OR YOU MAY FIND IT AT WALGREENS
One excellent product is ';Trind';. I had the same problem as you and it did a great job of strengthening my nails.
try bleach and repaint them after a night.
Nails are made up of calcium, so drink lots of milk, eat lots of fresh vegetables and drink lots of water and nature will return your nails to its original beauty
Try Vitamin E and Vitamin B2
I would go on line and order Sally Hansen's nail repair kits. They are one of the best. Only other solution go to a nail salon and have a manicure and start over so the nails can heal. It takes about 3 to 4 months.
Buy OPI Nail Envy Reg. strength. It is what alot of the nail salons use. It really works.
